Searching the rolls...

Today I got 60 penny rolls from the bank, along with weird looks from the teller. I came out with 10 wheat pennies and 12 Canadian pennies! The wheat penny dates are:
1957 D
1957 D
1957 D
1953
1952 D
1945
1945 D
1944
1941
1940 - this one's pretty much totally green
The Canadian penny dates range from 1999 to 1954...

(I had to reduce the picture to this size just to make it small enough to upload..... )

Bum luck today. $250 in halves - one 40% silver. Got 150 in dimes still to go through - but i need a break!

Don't forget about checking half dollars too. It can be a little tough to find a bank that has a lot of them in rolls, but if you can, check for the occasional 1964 silver half, and especially the 1965, 66, 67, 68, 69 and 70 silver clad halves (40% silver).

In 1970, they were not silver.

Yes, the 1970 half dollars were still 40% silver.

1970 half dollars are 40% silver, but only mint set and proof halves were made that year.

I found 2 1970 silver halves last year and around 15 regular proofs. I know a lot of other people on this forum have found silver proofs from other years as well. They aren't as rare to find in circulation as some people believe.
