This has been such a long hot summer that I haven't been out much but this morning was overcast 70 degrees and cool. Got out for a short hunt with my son and hit a new spot with an old house site. Five minutes into the hunt I pulled out this beautiful lined C confederate cavalry button.

Rest of the morning not so much. Found a shot three ringer, a dropped Sharps and a general service US military button.

Only other thing was this tag labeled "GW Boze with an address in Richmond Va. Maybe a luggage tag marker?

That's a awesome button and a great hunt. I have a few Confederate block I buttons but would love to find one of those! Congrats

It's going to be hard for anyone to find a nicer Civil War button in America today.

I would like to suggest that your tag could also be a dog tag, if the baggage tag or manufacturer tag route does not work out.

That is a nice find. With decent Civil War finds becoming more and more scarce it makes your button even better.

Wow, that button is killer
