Second season on 300 B.C. site.

Hi mates
I have the chance to get back for almost one month near the site where i was searching in August this year.
The first day i explored the areas that i already searched on August. I was not suprised that other coins came out.
One fact is interesting, that the coins are almost the same. There are no coins from different ages.
The one that i found are from 350-250 B.C, times of Philipp II or his son, Alexander the great. Philip is shown as an old man with a long barb while Alexander used the lion hair.
On the coins of Philip, the reverse has a tripod and the name of the province.
This makes me think that this site was inhabitted just for a short period.
A great part is not accessible because of the bushes and some short trees.
I will get back there and see what else can i find.

Yeap, your conclusions about how long a Site was occupied is where our hobby starts to cross the lines into the area of Archaeology. As your data set increases, so do the ideas & theories. All part of what makes trash digging (my term for Treasure Hunting) interesting. Make sure you at least keep records of where it was found, your information is valuable.

Yes West, it's the same site. I was convinced i would find more slingshot bullets but i didn't.
Before leaving the site i noticed a plain surface on that hill so tomorrow i'm going to explore it. Something makes me think that these plain surfaces were created by those people.
