Next Thursday, I transition to part time call out work. I am hoping this averages 10 -15 hours a week max, or even better 70 -90 hours in a week and then several off.
I prefer to hunt in the water, and currently have a Tesoro sandshark and a Garrett AT Gold that did me well in the past when I managed to get out.
I was about to purchase a Legend yesterday, when I heard Minelab would have a sale starting today, so I held off.
I picked up the Manticore from MetalDetectingStuff for $1199 this morning.
Have not yet received it, but I will either be on the Texas coast in Galveston or Corpus Christi area soon.
Good luck to you all.

I saw those were on sale myself. I thought about picking one up but still on the fence about it. I already have a few other detectors in my arsenal so I'm not sure it's worth another. :laughing7: :tongue3:

Man, you snagged a great deal!!!
Just bought mine 2 months ago, for the reg $1699.00. But not complaining since paid for itself already. Smallest gold ring was 24k at 1.34g. Biggest has been 14k at 11g. Seven in between.
Mostly a water hunter, w 15" coil, and feel good about depth rating of Manticore vs the Equinox 800 - the 3rd of which just drowned for me and I was saved by the Manticore this hunting season.

I had to go out of town yesterday, and told my wife that a package was coming.
She said oh, you bought me some jewelry?
Yes, I said, but it is coming disguised as a new metal detector....
