My last post for the night.

The series date refers to the year in which the design was authorized for use. You will find that the series 2006 $100, $10, $5, and $1 didn't start getting printed until 2007. The $50 and $20 only received their first printing in November and December of 2006 respectively.

The new $5 bills scheduled for release this upcoming month will be dated series 2006.

A change in both signatures would cause a series change, but only one signature change causes a letter to be incremented (e.g. series 2003A)
