I found an old school on the map that looked pretty good. I went there Thursday after work and dug a few wheats along with a Rosie, Merc and a War Nickel. It's big property but the signals are spread out. After the hunt on Thursday I was at 98 dug silver for the year. So yesterday afternoon I went out there again with my little girl to try and find a couple of silver to hit 100. The first thing I found was the Theodore Roosevelt token that left a cool green patina in the dirt. It was slow after that but I got a sweet signal and dug a nice Merc. So we just needed one more silver to reach our goal. We went down to the old ball field and found a couple of deep clad quarters and memorials. Not long after we got another sweet signal and out popped another Merc making 100 FTY! We were thrilled as it was getting dark and we hit our goal. The sun was quickly going down and we kept hunting around the outer edges of the field. We ended up digging 5 more Mercs in an area about 15'x15', It was so much fun digging those out in the dark with my daughter holding my phone using it for light. It was getting very cold but she kept saying dig one more daddy! HH David

Thanks everyone! It would be nice to get to 120 Mi$terG! It depends on the weather we get this winter and how much time I get to hunt with the holidays coming up.

Wow , that's a lot of silvers for one year ! It's especially impressive if you are only counting silver coins - not including rings and jewelry .

Wow man, your detector must be scaring those silvers out of the ground! Either way leave some for the rest of us. Last count I'm at 24 silvers since the MARCH ground thaw....

Again, congrats and we all want to see you hit 120!
