Ship mast?

We are on a new site with plenty of mag hits in the area, then we got this one; off the charts. A quick dive found this puppy. It is about 20' above the sand and 15' burried. Could this be a more modern mast? Early, mid 1800's? Yes, I thought it was a cannon from a distance!

I don't necessarily believe this is part of my new find as their are no hits in the immediate area. (50')

Anyone with knowledge in this area would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I definitely don't know what I'm talking about, but that looks about the same size and dimension as some offshore drilling pipes that I've seen. It certainly may be a mast, but you might look into the pipes they use and see if it matches.
