Quick question maybe my commonsense ain’t working today but if I’m not mistaken if it’s on a public beach isn’t it open to the public so why would it be a crime to take souvenirs
Soooo.....another case of the power's that be "protecting" a possible cultural resource....maybe...one day. In the mean time let it rot...cause gawd knows that the private sector would "loot it" right?....sighs
When have any of you seen a dig site that consisted of 2 guys 2 buckets and a shovel... no markers or grids... nothing seems to be being done in a "methodical" way.
For one... there appears to be no screening of removed debris etc.
Just seems very odd and unprofessional.
Sheesh I metal detect with more finesse and method.... looks like a kid digging for a treasure chest or building a sandcastle. heh
Lighthouse Archaeology Group are not true archies... apparently they do the bidding of Tallahassee DHR which we all know couldn’t care less about archaeology!
