Didn't have much time but did get a couple items. The two buttons are the most interesting.

Both are pretty much roached.

The small button is pretty old, some gilt still, I THINK it says John Patterson - Baltimore on the back.

The larger button doesn't say anything. The tiny thing next to it is actually part of the stem from the back. Fell off in my hands.

The "coat hanger" looks pretty old too. It was about 6 - 8 inches deep, appears to be brass/copper and although the pictures aren't showing it much, it has a bit of a greenish patina.

Not sure about the bullet shell.

And, somebody had a bad day losing all those keys!

I'm trying to figure out what age I'm into with these finds. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks!

HH!

Here is what I have found about your flat button.
"John Patterson, Baltimore backmark is on USN Captain's button circa 1830. Probably located in Baltimore though no city is given on the button. A John Patterson advertised in the 1812 Baltimore City Directory as a woolen-draper, men's merchant & tailor(successor to Richard Benson) at 22 South st. Patterson took over Benson's tailoring business in 1810. He was at 22 South st. in 1812-1813,26 South st.1845-53 and w/o trade at 26 South st. in 1856, his last listing."
Is there anything on the front of the button?

WOW! I am impressed! Sooooo much info in so little time! I tried but found nothing! LOL

Sounds like you've pretty well nailed it, the 6th picture is of the front. Like I said, pretty roached as far as I can tell. It does have some gilt left on the back. I wasn't sure what to use to maybe get some more detail. :dontknow:

Thanks!
