Finally got out today for a short 20 minute yard hunt with my F75 se before the rain came in. My main goal was to test some settings. I only got around to testing one setting but it seems to work well. All the items I recovered had nails and other iron bits in the hole. All in all I enjoyed it. I found a Mississippi tax token, 1910 wheat penny (my oldest wheat penny), I think the round thing with the numbers is some kind of dial from an old lock, and I'm not sure what the brass hook is.
I was using the 11" coil and my settings were sense at 80, disc at 6, tones 2f, mode at PF. I was using a slow sweep speed and listening for the good tone in between the iron grunts. Most of the targets I could only get a good tone in one direction but couldn't hear anything but iron when I rotated around it and the numbers would jump all over the place so I would just go by sound and not look at the screen. Still have much to learn but I'm getting there.
