Still really nice finds! Silver quarters are always great! Not sure why people were shooting coins back in the day? What's up with that? Where they throwing them up in the air and shooting them like Annie Oakley? I've found a few myself.

I also found an old coin that looks to have been shot then hammered flat again.

I'm not sure why they did it, maybe just a good size for a target.

Yep back in the old days people used coins in air for target practices, not so common anymore tho! Have one site where a guy told me about they threw all kinds of change up in the air to shoot! Only been to the site once, didn't find any of the shot change yet there but have at other sites.

nice finds!I think being shot throw's the neat factor up there "imo".Now if it was a 1950-S/D,I would probably be whistling a different tune
