Now I know that this is just an old tree that has been cut down, but I ALSO know a few folks that would tell me that this old tree stump is a sign of buried treasure!

Oh, BTW, nothing found with the MD around this area... >:(

old tree = old coins !

This old tree yielded nada (nothing). I went around it in all metal mode and didn't even get a whimper from the XLT.

Now, the tree NEXT to that one produced and OVERLOAD signal for me! I was a bit pumped about it until I dug a full beer can from the dirt. Wasn't even my brand... :tongue3:

Try posting this pic on Treasure Signs!! td

I started to, but since it was posted in jest I didn't want to get a penguin slap for doing so...

I'm sure a couple would find it very interesting though.

Well, it DOES have a pointer on it. Was the pointer pointing toward the tree with the Beer can?

The treasure could be deeper than your detector will pick up.
Maybe try a long probe to see if you hit anything?
Just a thought.

Go ahead and dig that stump out of the ground, no telling what could be hidden under it. Don't forget to fill in the hole and when you're done come on over to my place. I have lots of stumps that allmost look like a X you can dig out to see what is hidden under them. ;D I'll even let you use my shovel.

I believe that is the trunk of a small catalpa tree. I have dug a few of those up over the years. Notice how the roots take off in every direction? There are just as many tap roots below the stump. It would take hours to dig around those roots. Have fun digging that B@$t@rD up!

I've dug (grubbed) a few stumps in my 42 years and it will be a LONG time before it happens again! That's what my 10 and 15 year old sons are for, one to grub, the other to cheer him on while DOD (Dear Old Dad) has a cold beer!
