Goes to tell you old is still good. I’m not looking for a road grater, something jagged and smooth enough to penetrate, nice handle , don’t need to jump on like an idiot

I have a Predator Dixie ball-handled shovel (#58) that has been great for my needs. 37" long +/-. Lesche made and again makes a pretty identical one. Also in "T" handle. I try to go around roots rather than through them. If I have to go through I have a folding 7" saw I also use for bowhuting to clear limbs from a stand or blind.

I just use my standard Lesche digging shovel with the ball handle. Had it over 20 years and it still works fine.

I guess it all depends on where a person hunts mainly.
In city parks-no shovel-was always the rule-puts too much attention on what one is doing.
Been using a Garrett long blade spade cut down, with added foot petals for digging.
Being thinking of late of looking into a newer type of digger/Predator/Lesche type.
What concerns me is the foot are with to which to place foot looks too small. (size 13)
