There have to be hundreds of in which I call silly expressions, or just plain old stupid talk.... I have a field day with people that like to use these types of expressions and I think a snappy comeback is not out of line. After all, if you bring it up in conversation, you should expect a reply. Here are some of mine.

When someone says: "I'm not book smart"
I say: "Are you book stupid"

Someone chowing down big time at a buffet: "I can't seem to lose weight"
I say: "Have you tried eating less?"

Someone asks: Does this bus go over the George Washington Bridge?
I say: I hope not, but I am sure it will go across it.

What's yours :dontknow:

When offered a free food sample from a vendor on the rare occasions that I go shopping , I will respond ;
"No , thanks . I just ate a bar of soap and I wouldn't want to spoil the taste ."
