I got out for a few disappointing hours and found the 1961 Rosie. I have been getting frustrated lately. It seems like everywhere has been hit around me. >:(

My best find this year came from my next door neighbors curb :( . Luckily I beat the trash collectors! It is a Zenith Wave-Magnet Trans-Oceanic short wave radio in good shape! I think it is from the 1950's. It has all the documentation!

I'll take a silver dime anytime. That's a cool old zenith. One mans trash anothers treasure ;)

I start thinkin' the same thing from time to time about sites being hunted out. However, I'm still surprised from time to time when I hit an area I thought worked over and work it slowly and from different angles.

What possesses people to just throw those radios away? If you need any tubes, I may be able to provide them. About 25 years ago, I bought a dealer's whole supply for about $15.00, and they've been carefully stored since then. Shortwave is the coolest thing! Rosies aren't bad, either!

Thanks for the replies.

It does not power on, however I understand that it is typical for these units to have a simple power supply problem. I may sell it as is, and hand my neighbor the money.

Hey Neil...

The radio looks like a model R600L. As others have said, there are a bunch for sale on ebay.
