That reminds me great memories with my Grandfather who was a railroad worker. We used to go down and smash pennies as we watched the trains go by. I am going to make it a point to go down to the spot we smashed them when I was a kid. I know we didn’t find them all, but with my detector hopefully I will find some and some memories! Nice piece if silver!

Railroad track penny. Gary
I thought it might be also Gary, and then I saw the 4 dots on one end, that are typical of those coins coming out of a machine. I'm wondering if whoever put their money in the machine, just didn't know how to use it, and it came out a blank. I know I didn't mention the dots to begin with, so you had no way of knowing.
