SILVER BY THE POUND PART 2!!! Franklin rolls + SLQ's + more!

Hello everyone. Feeling pretty good this morning, just got back from the same back I went to yesterday.

The teller was able to give me 1 more roll of Franklins, 1 more roll of BU 1964 Kennedy halves, and 3 more full rolls of silver washingtons. She saved 3 or 4 rolls for herself, I dont really mind. The assistant mannager was mean to me and the teller again, teller just rolled her eyes. The assistant mannager will be fired eventually I hope. Writing a complaint letter, other people have complained about her too.


TOTALS:

BU 90% 1964 - 100

Franklins - 21

Walkers - 1

Washingtons - 200

SLQ's - 2



Checking for early dates later! Plent of 30's mixed in!

Hi Cool, That is great.

I bet his bosse's boss has an email address. I think everyone on this board should drop him or her a very polite e-mail stressing that in all their years of banking they have never experienced that type of customer service and the fact that you are only 15 and have many, many years of banking left in your life and you probably will not do it with their organization.

That is insane! It is hard to believe that the picture of silver quarters is real. Can you list the date/mint of the quarters? I bet you have a good portion of an album completed with that haul.

Hey...that teller is pretty cool!

You got a great haul! make sure you let the teller know that you are ALWAYS on the lookout for silver.

Hope the assistant manager has her butt handed to her on a silver platter...along with a note from the manager stating: "Your services are no longer required..."

Cruel... but in this case demanding a customer to leave when they have done nothing wrong. Maybe justified!

Two things: Did the SLQ's have dates left on them or were they worn off? Last year I stumbled on a mini-haul of quarters like you did...except I only got one roll of silver. Most of mine were SLQs but only 3 I think still had dates left on them (the rest were worn off). Just curious if yours have dates.

Second, I really can't believe some people don't realize the value of those old silver coins! I mean the assistant manager was rude, yes, but I just can't figure out why she wouldn't have just bought them from the drawer the instant she realized what they were. And if they were that important to her then put them back in the vault and tell the employees that you have claimed them or whatever. We all love getting that silver haul but I feel that when you handle cash that sort of thing is a job perk...now whether you realize that or not is your own doing. Seems that they should really have first shot at that sort of thing if they (cash handlers) want it. Just my opinion.

I work with cash daily, and lots of it, and you'd better believe I'm pullin every silver coin I see!

Yes, I agree, but she had her chance. The customer always comes first, especially in the middle of a transaction!

No, the SLQ's had no dates, completely worn. Still a fist for me though!

That's what I would do. And if my appearance aggravated that assistant manager again, so much the better!


Perhaps if he shows up enough, she will crack, start shrieking insanely, and try to attack coolcash, after which she would be immediately fired, and then get hauled a way by some nice strong young men in white coats!
