not found metal detecting.and what is the value of them.i wont sell them just curious

The silver dollars have a bullion value of about $30 each. I think the average numismatic value of a walking half (please correct me if I'm wrong) is about $10. Kennedys are far cheaper, even the silver ones.
Dimes and quarters have low bullion value, but before 1932 they can get pricey. The Ike dollar is worth a dollar.

i was thinking of melting them and making a silver bar is that legal.and thanks for the link

You can melt silver coins. Don't melt copper Lincolns though. Can you post the dates of your coins? No silver in a 1966 quarter. You can give coins a silver check by checking the edge (the third side). If you see copper it's not silver.

You're probably better off selling these coins then buying a bar with the money than melting these into a bar.

For starters might not be a bad idea to stick with JM or engelhard to name a few. There are others of course

Melt them yourself and you have no way of proving what the silver content is. Testing's right - if you want bars, buy them ready-made.

i have 2 wheat pennies 1937 and 1939. 1 walking liberty 1990. 1 peace dollar 1923.3 kennedy halfs 1974,72,91 and 1 dollar i think is a rosevelte has 1976 twice.1 dollar 1878 not sure what you call them it has a woman head with liberty on it.

No I'm just saying its wicked easy to google items like that and get an idea of what you have, I do that with everything I find and if I can't figure it out then I post it on here.
