I went out earlier this week and an old spot I've hunted for a while and managed to dig two Mercs, a few wheats, some junk rings and an old button. Yesterday afternoon I had some time to hunt so I loaded up my little girl and the Etrac and off we went. We were heading to an old school spot that I've never hunted, but about half way there I saw another old school with a nice field beside it. So we stopped and hunted it instead. There was not a whole lot of signals but we found a Rosie pretty quickly along the edge. I believe it has been hunted hard in the main part of the field but not along the edges. Within the first hour we had found two Mercs and three Rosies and not a single wheatie or clad, which is not normal. Things slowed down and I got a deep 12-43 12-44 on the Etarc and thought this could be a wheatie. We were happy to see a Barber dime in the bottom of the hole instead of a penny and excited to get a dime trifecta! This ended up being an awesome afternoon hunt just to randomly pass a site and take a chance on. Just goes to show you never know until you swing a coil over it. HH David
