Hello all, I hadn't been able to get out and hunt in a while so figured I would give it a go this morning. Went back to the old city park and found that they were just setting the new playground equipment. There were small fresh mounds of dirt all around and so I decided to go over them. Just as I swept over the second mound a very loud, clear tone and showed a dollar at 1/2 inch. And thats exactly what I found. 1902 Morgan. Has a few rim marks but not a bad coin. Had to leave soon after cause someone was setting up for a reunion. The rest of the park was very dry and hard to dig.

You never know what and where it will turn up. Amazing find. Don't see those morgans very often coming out of the ground.

Thanks everyone. Yea Brian, I need to get my fix on some detectin'. I've been real busy at work lately but that's gonna change when the ground starts loosening up. My boss knows when I start detectin' alot he might as well just let me.

Good find. Silver dollars always make it a great day .. heck .. great week ...
Been a long time since I have pulled one up. Clad dollars just don't have the same excitement for me.
