Holy crap! Great find. I'm guessing that one's on a lot of bucket lists. I know its on mine. Congrats!
I think 70% is just pure luck! Swinging the coil over the right spot. The other 30% is trying to find great permissions that’s never been detected.
The place I found this on is an old farm house from 1860’s. Has been in the family for the past 100 years and they said it’s never been detected. It was quit obvious it’s never been detected by how many high conductors there were. Just TONS of iron mixed in.

My 1st silver of 2023 was a 1890 O Morgan Dollar!
I’m still in shock and can’t believe I actually found one. It was on my bucket list ever since I started metal detecting almost 3 years ago.
Found with the Legend using the 6” coil in heavy iron.
Super Awesome Find!!!! Congrats!!!!!! Big Bucket lister!!!!

Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore.

Excellent!!!! Not an easy coin to dig. Quite the contrast to another elusive silver coin, the trime. Both are probably on many people's lists.

I understand it is a big coin but that is some depth for a 6 inch coil! Excellent
