Eagleforce and I hunted the hood schools this weekend and it payed off ! Yesterday after only 15 minutes I had a +8 VDI on my M6 at 3 inches , I was thinking come on GOLD ! It was GOLD ! A small 14K pendent that had been hit by the lawn mower and almost looks like trash in my picture :laughing7: . Then later in the hunt I got a +74 at 3 inches , a silver ring ! It's a small band with leafs and flowers on it . I also found a silver neck less with a silver heart and small CZ stone . Total clad for Saturday was $14.20 for three hours . :headbang:
This morning we hunted two schools for about 2 hours . I found a nice 925 silver ring right in the middle of the field . It was a +72 at 4 inches . Also found one Wheat cent today , a 1954S . Total clad for today was $8.98 .

I would have had it by now but I have been out of work so much this year some of the money and all the gold has gone to paying bills :BangHead: I hope to get it in October :icon_thumright:

Another great hunt. With your success I am now thinking about using my MXT instead of my etrac.

May I ask what a "hood" school is? Is it a reference to Hood college?

Also, nice trick using the paperclips to show the rings.

I believe he means schools that are located in not so great areas, well ok better said in real bad areas AKA "the hood" you know located right next to the ghetto.

Glen, there are several schools and parks that exist in the Hood in the town I work in (No where I live). All in old parts of town. Any advice on hunting in the Hood? outside of common sense stuff like, " be aware of those around you". I really hate passing up good hunting grounds.

When I hunt the bad areas I always hunt with a friend and hunt early in the morning and get out by 11 am . I have never had a problem . The few times I have hunted in the afternoon I have had some people around that have made me feel unsafe . Don't let the gold & silver from the hood get away :laughing7: .
Good luck !
Glen
