~Silver..Indian...Neat Decorative piece with dragon head~

Last night after work, knocked door at an old farm got a few goodies.....not sure what the decorative piece is, looks like a dragon head to me, measures about 3" across.
Got a couple mercs, few wheats, 1882 indian. Not a lot to say, lol, here are the pics.

I have a feeling I've seen that "dragon" piece before in some context - I think it may be an Italian Renaissance design , that
made a comeback during the Victorian era - but I could be way off on this !
You made some nice finds !
