My brother and I hit a couple places this morning and I found a good assortment of stuff, but the silver hid from me today.Found a heart breaker necklace, a donkey brooch, cheerleaders medal, wind instrument mouthpiece, couple of toy cars, 6 wheats, 1941x2 1944 1946 1956 1958. And some clad. 45 Bullet HH RJ

Looks like you had a good time hunting with your brother. You sure had enough targets to dig.

Looks like a nice outing anyway RJ. Don't base your hunts on silver alone. There are plenty of nice coppers & relics to dig out there also. Many times I come home without silver, but have found some other great items.

Found the name Cora on the choker necklace. Seems the company started in the early 1900's and they made costume jewelry.

Oh how I hate those heartbreakers. I found one very similar to yours not a week ago.
I actually felt kinda' bad because it's actually engraved "From Mom". It may be all she could afford for her kid at the time. I wish I could return it.

Speaking of heartbreakers, I also dug what I thought was another gold ring a few nights ago. I was COMPLETELY CONVINCED it was a nice gold ring with a stone in it. I put on my glasses and was holding a dang old gold colored pull tab with the beaver tail wrapped around it. My heart was actually racing. I swear it looked exactly like a ring.
They say the brain fills in the blanks and shows us what we expect to see sometimes. Apparently, "they" are correct.

But, silver or no silver, it looks like you had fun out there. Plus you got some battery money.
Nuthin' wrong with that hunt at all.
