Back at the park saturday morning temps were 18 degrees i lasted about hour half couldnt even feel my fingers whent back home came back about 11:30 am temps were 32 much better many parts of the park were frozen sunday a much warmer day for MDing weather man is calling for snow wednesday into thursday could be end of the season for me..Finds for this weekend are mercs 1919 1926 nickels V 1909 1911 and a 1873 IH you can see the rust spot on the IH were a nail was right on top of it also some wheats and a hole lot of bullet shells...The IH is sitting in olive oil hopeing to get that rust spot off...

Looks like a quality weekend. Congrats. That time of year that decent detecting days are in short supply.
 

Finding any old nickels where you can easily see the date is a great day.
 

Nice coins buddy! Have you ever tried mineral oil on your coppers? It's just a little more pure and not quite as dark

No never did use mineral oil is it better then olive oil ?
