Hi All.........
I went out Sunday afternoon to the U of O area for several hours and
found a 1945-s Mercury dime, three wheat cents and $3 in clad.
Today was a nice day also so I decided to go back to the
same area and try my luck again for a couple of hours. I found
a crushed toy car, three wheat cents, car keys, lots of clad coins and
my First Standing Liberty Quarter. She was lodged amongst a bunch of
roots by a tree so I started cutting the roots and finally got her free.
The face was caked with dirt and I wanted to see the date in the worst way
but I resisted the urge to rub and waited to get home to clean her up. I was
elated and disappointed at the same time when I saw NO DATE an S mint
mark and a scratch on her face. I guess I would have been REALLY disappointed
if the date would have been a key date. She is silver coin #31 for me this year.
Thanks for looking and HH Gold Nuggets
