Silver protective bag

I picked up this salt or pepper shaker over the weekend but it has that silver protective bag stuck to it does anyone know a way to remove it without ruining the piece i’ve tried silver cleaner warm water and soap with no luck and even a silver cloth cleaner I’m hoping to get more than scrap value for it thank you ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1533429640.173114.jpg

Acetone. Carefully, and wearing rubber gloves and eye protection. I work with fiberglass and carbon fiber at my job, and acetone will take anything off everything. Just be careful, you don't want that stuff in your eyes, it burns like hellfire.

Don't try this before consulting others but I've been told Hot sauce is a good cleaner.

You might try W D 40 it even gets bubble gum out of carpet.

Did acetone work?

Acetone did not work i used silver cleaner liquid and my fingernail to scrape it off took me a little while but it finally came off thanks for all the suggestions to try
