Hello!
Finally got a chance to go out detecting today ~ Ron and I took a drive way up north to do some treasure hunting! We had a great time ~ the weather was AWESOME & sunny! Here's what I dug today:
1943 Washington Quarter
1946 Washington Quarter
1945-s War Nickel
1907 Indian Head Cent
1910-s Wheat cent
1912-s Wheat cent
2 trade tokens
15 more wheats dating from 1920 to 1958
10 clad quarters
13 clad dimes
3 modern nickels
49 copper memorial cents
small silver ring marked STERLING
The quarters are my silver coin finds #40 & #41 for the year.
The tokens are always a treat to dig. The one on the right is pretty straight forward, G.F. 5c I.T. Pastime Billiard Parlor 447 Wash. ST. (Portland Oregon token) . . . . But the one on the left looks bi-metallic? It's brass, and what looks like a quarter-moon shape in the center made of zinc, maybe? The center is very corroded. The front only reads '207' (incused), and the reverse reads GOOD FOR 5c IN TRADE. It's in rough shape!
I took close-up pic's of the date area on the 2 semi-key wheat cents and Indian head cent. Love them early 'S' mint wheat cents!
Thanks for looking!
Neil
