I got to hunt an old house teardown this afternoon and had high hopes for some old coinage. Not to be, but I did find this Rolex Bucherer Lucern spoon. Whether it's silver or just plated is a matter of some dispute; I believe plated because there is nothing indicating Sterling or .925. There is a CB 6.9 mark on the back. As for the newspaper with character, I'm still trying to attach a picture.

The only way I know to tell for sure is to file a tiny notch and test with silver solution.
