Silver thimble

Found at a mid nineteenth century Mill house site. I've gridded this small area a dozen times, literally, and keep finding things. The thimble (appears to be silver -no mark) is engraved "ER". The Indian head was found a few feet away.

Love the silver thimbles. Been a LONG time since I dug a silver one. For some reason thimbles are one of my absolute favorite things to find at old home sites.

Nice thimble! I found my first and only silver thimble last year. Check inside for the mark. Like the area where the tip of the finger will hit on the inside.

That would be an excellent day in my book ! Very nice saves - Kinda surprised there's no mark on the thimble (good light and a loupe )
check inside that bottom edge too !
