Found a really great new site to hunt, and I think it's virgin territory! Only managed to hunt there for about an hour, but the results were very pleasing:

Some of the finds: (there were many more but these are some that stood out)

One of the first significant finds of the hunt, a sterling silver Virgin Mary medallion:

The second significant find of the hunt, a 1909 Lincoln Cent, first year of issue, the Indian Head was phased out the same year.
This was the very first US coin to depict an actual once-living person on it:

An old 19th century brass lock with its key still in it. Maybe from a treasure chest :D

An old change dispenser with a sliver Mercury Dime still inside. It has actually concreted into the rust, so cool, this was a first :icon_king:

I found this lever from a lever-action rifle, and then I found an old .30 cal shell 6 inches away.
I have concluded that it can't be a coincidence, but I couldn't locate any other pieces of rifle :icon_scratch:

The change dispenser and the lock with the key still in it are awesome saves!
 

Don't cha just love virgin territory. :thumbsup: You won't see a merc in that predicament again, That is such a unique find as well as the lock and key.

I def, agree.
I'm not super old but do recall those change dispenser's being used by Full service Gas Station guys ,also used at the Arcade on the Boardwalk in Daytona Beach.
 

MINER THE LOCK IS A HECK OF A FIND WITH THE KEY INSERT . THE 3030 LEVER I FOUND ONE IN MY YARD ALSO . NOW FOR THE COIN DISPENCER WITH THE DIME HOLDING TIGHT IS A DIFFRENT KINDA FIND . .
