Went to an older playground area were playground was dismantled and the wood chips pushed away to prep for new equipment . In the corner of an older town park in New York State. Pulled out about 6 silvers in all including these. One is a 1871 shilling. How did that get there? lol ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447893677.043770.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447893692.601996.jpg

I believe it is a one shilling. I looked at shillings online and the one shilling has the crown on top and the date is at the bottom. That's a cool coin to find.

Very nice silvers. That Shilling could have been brought in the dirt or woodchips from anywhere. That's what makes this hobby so fun, expect the unexpected.
