Went back to the farm park and started on the west side but ended up on the east side and that's when the relics started showing up and all within a small area. A high tone that was solid in one direction and broken in the other turned out to be an 1853 trime. Great to get silver and also break the century barrier. About 11 paces away another high tone came out as a utensil handle, more proof of proximity to a home site. I was working up and down the hill and close to the top I dug a musketball. After about another half hour of swinging, a mixed tone in the 70s came from under a root, but not deep. This shallow "coin" is a 1773 half reale minted in Mexico City and had been re-purposed as a button with what appears as the remainder of a silver shank on the reverse. Finished the day with some older headstamps from U.M.C. Co. and WRA. Two horseshoes were added to the day's finds. This was one of those uncanny days of relics for me that are rare. Glad I decided to head back to the farm today.

Excellent finds McCdig. You could not have found a better pair of "thin" coins than those two.
