Hello everyone. I went out detecting today with the Atpro and found some goodies. I braved hills and hollers to get to these relics. It was cold and the woods were thick. So thick that i felt like a deer walking through the bushes. Well that is what we do to get to the good stuff. First off I found a nice Skeleton key.

Not far away from that target I dug this Harmonica reed.

Then this nice 3 ringer

Then I dug my mystery find of the day. I dug this close to where an old Spanish Governor lived back in the late 1700's early 1800s..

I'm not sure what it is, but I am going to post it in the whats it group.
I dug some lead bars for making bullets, along with few wheats and a ring ..All in all a great day. Thanks for looking..Zaxfire69

It does look like part of a spur, but man it is tiny. I don't know if they made a spur that small.

Nice finds Z!!! It does look like part of a lightweight spur. Could be a child's or ladies spur. You just have half of it. Creskol and Kuger will know. We sometimes forget that people were much smaller in stature during the CW. A 6 ft. guy big guy was a monster back then. HH, Quindy.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking it looked like part of a spur. It is just real small. It was found in close proximity to where i found the bullets, lead and harmonica reed. I've searched the net and found some small confederate spus that were to thin for military use, but were often dug in confederate camps. It is a cool find for sure. dancer i love skeleton keys also. I've only found 3 detecting.

The coin is a Mississippi Tax token. It looks like a Chinese coin, but it is a 5 mill tax token. Here is a better picture.

Thanks everyone. I can't wait to get back out to this spot and see what else I can find. I know there is more in there.
