All kidding aside... that's a great key!

I have to say it's a door key... although I have no idea how big it actually is.

Keys like that certainly were more than common during the victorian/CW era. I wish I would dig more than the broken one I have. :(

At any rate... there are some key collecting folks here and hopefully they know more. Are you out there Gypsyheart?

I used to have a really cool solid brass skel. key that I found at a bottle dig site, I gave it to a girlfriend. Geez, I miss that key.

Yeah thats a big gate key,although a jail key would be that size. ??? Lets just say Dungeon key.........yeah, Dungeon key ,that sounds better ;)
