Hello all. Nothing to see here, sorry... Went to Myrtle Beach this weekend & got skunked! Only clad & trash! Oh well, that's the reality of this hobby, can't win them all. MB isn't the best spot for detecting but figured Id give it a shot. I had a great time with Shovelnose & his brother nonetheless. I also got to see some beautiful scenery;) I am on a bad gold drought so hit the local school when I got back (yes I'm an addict) & got skunked again, just clad & a few pieces of junk jewelry( the owl/clock earring is kinda neat but nothing to brag about) After a hot streak it gets really frustrating only digging trash & clad but persistence pays off! Hope I post a gold ring soon! (Id Be happy with a silver ring too) i usually dont post this kinda crap but hey, its reality & I'm bored! HH!

Nothing wrong with posting this at all, heck its a welcome change.
Just a reminder that we cant just run out and grab gold and silver at whim.
Takes a lot of practice, patience, research, etc.

Now that you got a junk day in your just one more hunt closer to finding a lil bling bling ;)
Good luck and HH!

Hey man, they may not be gold but they're still better than nails, bottle caps, pull tabs and foil!

Sorry you got skunked. I hope that is not a prelude to my trip. You will get some gold soon.

My six year old would say the Hello Kitty necklace was better than gold lol. Hopefully there will be big gold in your shovel soon.

Oh well, you are still the "Man, the "Myth", the "Legend" in the RH club. Gonna be hard for anyone in the club to surpass you for "Hunter of the year"!!!
MB is definitely a tough place for treasure, but some of the locals do well. My buddy Jim found 28, yes twenty eight gold rings and a Rolex worth several thousand in the month of May this year. But he goes pretty much every day. He found several wash outs in an area he called the "Miracle Mile", but now the beach is back to being sanded in. It's funny how quickly conditions can change.
