Hey Guys, got out yesterday for a couple of hours in the early afternoon and I must say, I was enjoying the sunshine!

Although I hunt all year round, I really gotta say, I was loving the weather. For me, Spring is my favorite time of year to dig even

with the constant battle against poison ivy and ticks ;D :P

I drove to my site, got out of the truck and within 5 minutes started the day off right with an Eagle Button. I had a great time

but with only 2-3 hours to dig, I was in the zone and finished out the day with some nice finds! Thanks for looking and

here they are:

HOLED BRAIDED HAIR LARGE CENT (This find came in the middle of the dig and had about 5 nails above it in the soil layer but I could still here its strong tone coming through.)

Ornate Buckle/Pin (This relic had an attachment on the back very similar to the ones you find on the back of some Rosettes as can be seen in the group shot below. It's very pretty in person

Old English "R" Ring (Found this in an area where alot of colonial stuff came from.)

Good finds, good weather, feeling good-What's not to like Josh? If I lived out there, I wouldn't be worth 3 cents-no comments MM & Dman. WTG Bud. Don't you wish all hunts were that enjoyable? HH, Q.

great finds as always. That key is so cool.

I was happy the way the green patina came out on the key as well.

Jeff, if you were still here in Virginia, I'd have had you there right along with me.

LOL Quin, as much as I dig, I know EXACTLY what you mean! Diggin 4-5 days a week can leave the body and muslces beat up and sore at times.

Thanks Kuger. I decided to start using this new format after first trying it out a couple months ago. You're the 4 person to say that you like it so I appreciate it. Thanks buddy and hope the diggins are going good out there in California.

Indeed, compared to some of the finds over there an 18th-19th century skeleton key is not too old.

Dave, its made from Brass. It would probably only cost $20 for Roland to fix but I'll probably leave in relic condition for now.
