Ok it's not a smily but kinda looks like one. I remember finding one of these years ago but don't know what it is. I was creek hunting here in the north when I found two of them about ten feet apart. They are copper I think, and the size of a nickel. Machine stamped and the two small circles are punched through so they are recessed on one side and poke out on the other. What do you think?

Carburetor Butterfly relic nut, but I think they look like strap buckles or buckles for a luggage latch, something like those but that's just a guess:

They look vaguely familiar... I keep coming back to some form of electrical contact, such as from a plug. Just a guess, though.

don't think throttle plates would be copper
do you think the pins are copper as well
The pins might be a weight / balance
wonder if they may be musical wind related?
