Wow, I think that is a really interesting snake - at first glance I thought bracelet, but don't see a hinge. Brass?

Looking forward to this discussion! Thanks for sharing! HH

When I was a kid there was a snake bracelet or whatever that was identical to the one pictured at our house. I don't know if it belonged to a sister or something my mom had. I remember it well because it had green eyes and most likely fake gems. I do remember it being sterling because I asked what the 925 on the inside meant and I was told it meant it was silver. I thought it must have been very precious. Don't know what happened to it because that was 60 yrs ago.

I found about 30 of these over about 9 years before I could figure out what exactly they where. All the ones I had found where gold or silver. I kept them the entire time but had so many I just decided to turn them into the Fed Refinery for scrap. I normally turn in and sell my scrap twice a year, but odd things I hang on to until I figure out what they are just in case I can get more than scrap price.

So I walked into the refinery and there is the same young goth women (I think goth is the term) working there as always. I put my ID and bags on the desk and she reaches in to one of the bags and pulls one out and say hey this is cool. She starts dumping my bags and notices all the Snake and Dragon ear cuffs I have. She says have you been MDing at Goth parties, I said heck if I know why do you ask. She holds one up and says you have lots of these.

I told her that I had found all of them over about 9 years and just held on to them because I wanted to find out what they are. She tells me its an Ear Cuff. I was like no way that is too small. So she put it on, naturally right away I thought man I wish I would have brought a thong instead.

Then she said that the simple light weight ones made of silver normally just cuff on and that the gold ones had these thing for an ear ring hole.

Next time I went in she asked me if I had anything I did not know what it is for her to try on; I said well actually I was thinking we could head down to Victoria Secrets after this. She tells me to be very careful because she has no problem making me put my money where my mouth is.

So congrats on your cuff.

well your earcuff theory would be right if the op's snake was a continuos simi circle. Since it is not and has been formed for two fingers or toes I still suggest it is a ring and not an ear cuff
