I wish I would have taken more photos of this weird weather event, but I didn't realize how rare it was.

I found out later, that the last time this occurred in my area was in the 1880's.

We had 8" of fluffy snow on the ground, the weather spiked above freezing in the middle of the night, with some very strong wind gusts and these little guys were all over the place. Some were hollow, some up to 2 ft high. Pretty cool.

Pretty cool and good capture with the pics. Up here, generally when I look up and see snow comin down the slope, it's about 200 feet wide and 20 feet deep. I haven't seen those snow rollers up here.
