I was back at it in the snow today. A little bit warmer than yesterday's -10. It was 20 and sunny. No silver but got a handfu of wheats

Just got them cleaned up and see the ever elusive 1909 Wheatie. Unfourtanetly. No s or no vdb. But my first 1909. So it was still a thrill to see that appear from under the dirt

It must be the soil here because I can date every Wheatie I have found. They need a peroxide soak to break through the crust but after that they clean right up

Just the initial excitement of noticing the date is what it's all about. By the way, your soil conditions are amazing. I haven't tried the peroxide cleaning method yet, but it must work wonders.
