I was able to get in about 6 hours of evening hunting at a beach in California that I would prefer not to divulge during my conference. No amazing finds, but a good amount of clad and surprisingly little trash compared to the East Coast beaches I have hit this year. Best part was absorbing the vibe with all of the beach bonfires, strange smelling smoke in the air, huge glowing crystal rituals, bro it was righteous... They sort of ignore the metal detecting dudes.

A couple tokens, foreign coin, 1940 Nickel, wheat, junk ring, lizard and of course a huge gold coin.

I'm looking forward to flying home tomorrow, good luck out there!

Not THAT'S my kind of business trip! I'm planning on leveraging my own for some local hunting in the areas I visit. Did you fly to this conference? If so, any tips on transporting your detector and gear? Thanks for sharing, and congrats! :icon_thumright:

This is the 4th business trip near a beach this year where I have checked in my gear. I just break it down to fit in my luggage and take the batteries out. Never a problem.

Oops forgot the A... yes SAN Diego, best place to visit or live in the US! Low of 72 and high of 78 all week, low humidity and this is almost all year.

:director:=Mackaydon;5486094]Yup; great place to live.
Now, if we only had an NFL team or a baseball team that could do better than .500, we'd be even better.
