Picked up a box of halves + $460 in MWR of halves + $60 in CWR of halves yesterday on my lunch break.
I immediately noticed writing on one of the CWR, which read:
"5[SUP]00[/SUP] 67
5[SUP]00[/SUP] 68"
Saved the CWR for last and plowed through the box of halves as well as the MWR. Both the box and the MWR were skunks.
I opened up the other CWR first, netting four 40%ers:
1969D x 4
Then I spilled out the marked roll and yup, a solid roll of 40%ers:
1967 x 10
1968D x 10
CWR in my area have been so good to me lately, this being my fourth solid roll of silvers. All having been written on and "as advertised." The writing to me seems similar, but I didn't save the older rolls for comparison. These solid rolls have been found in three different towns and from three different banks, all within a 15-mile radius.
Seems like someone maybe died and their heir(s) or wife are just depositing their collection for face value.
Anyway, total take was 24 40%ers.
