I dumped some coin today and stopped at a few banks. None had any halves, so I grabbed some dimes. $320 worth, and I headed home. I didn't get much but it still wasn't a bad day
Take:
1950 rosie
1939 Merc! And it's in vf condition
and a first for me. A1956 diez centavos, which I think is silver. Not magnetic, and sounds like it's the real deal

cool finds. what's the usual odds (as I'm new to the CRH business) I bought a box of dimes and maybe about $100 more on top of that only to find 1 1964 rosie. is that about normal for dime hunting? :dontknow:

first off, welcome to the forum. Dime hunting can be hit or miss, with boxes especially. I rarely do boxes, I've found that customer rolls are the way to go. But people on here do score with boxes. I just get way more keepers from customer rolls, and I get a lot of foreign coins this way too. Pretty much every time I hunt dimes I get some crazy foreign coins. I will usually find 1 or 2 keepers for every $100 I search. But it does vary. I've had my best numbers searching bags of dimes, but it's hard to get a bank to sell them to ya

If it's from Mexico, it's bronze; though not that many were minted:
