I think they will hold whatever liquid you choose to drink out of them.

and saw a comment by diggumup about glass at thrift shops...
I picked up this pair of glasses at a shop myself, and was thinking he might (or anyone) be able to help me put a date to 'em
The glass measures just under 5". I believe they are molded, as there are seams on either side, strategically placed along the center line of the branch. There are minor bubbles in the glass and what appear to be small specks of ash(?). The base has five dimples.
