Went to a school this past weekend that had been torn down a few years ago. I figured that some one had plucked the silver from the place already. I was mostly right. All low tones, and nothing but wheats and nickels. One piece of silver they didn't get was a '43 war nickel. Found one '40, and the '43, and the rest new, about 15 nickels in all. Cleaned the '43P up with some baking soda. The surface shows some good rub marks, most likely from grading the dirt.

Also went to the beach on Tuesday afternoon, lake beach, hoping that the last hurrah holiday brought some folks out.

Found a braclet, 14k with real diamonds, and an ear ring with diamonds 14k. Took them to the jeweler this morning to comfirm the stones.

HH all,
Ken

That earring and bracelet kind of go together.

Nice finds!

Possible that the two went together, only a couple of feet apart, in the sand.

Bracelet has 20 stones, the ear ring has 19.

Thanks all.

And Grubby, that's the only gold we have here in Ohio.

You find the real stuff out there in California. I'll trade you for your next gold nugget if you really want a bracelet. ;D

Estimated value of the Bracelet was 450.00. Jeweler said he'd give me 300.00.

Wife said it was her's for free. >:(

Sweet braclet Ken! Looks like you did better than me on your recent trip. Shoot - I would have taken that $300 so fast...... ;D ;D

Some day I'll wise up and hunt to find the stuff that is really worth the cash. For now I guess it's just worthless coins. ;) 8)

Terrific finds Ken! Gorgeous bracelet & earring. You didn't say whether the earring was worth anything or not. I think I would have taken the $300 too; course I'm broke most of the time anyway. :( Congrats to the wife on her gift from you. ;D
