a hematite celt in that size is not often found, and when found, unbroken.

Nice celts. Way more celts found in my area than grooved axes. I think your banner preform is just a rock. A banner preform would have a thick ridge in the middle on both sides to provide enough material for drilling. I’d like to see an edge view of that rock.

The middle is thick pics didn’t come out. My friend said it was a Peanut Ax when I found it but I think the material is wrong for a ax. Could be a net weight I guess

I don’t think it worked out for them that’s why I called it a preform. Discarded
