Really nice, Thanks for sharing. I like the spur. Its really nice. The coin is very nice.

Forgot to mention, the diameter of the rimfire is 5/8 inch or I believe .58 caliber.

Yes I have tried to find him, no luck yet....NGE

My first find 2 years ago was that coin! 1889 Vic 3p

Too funny but I had gone for a walk a few days before going out on my first hunt with a borrowed MD and the buddy who owned it. He had bught a new machine and had 2.

I had seen this old house site and in one corner there where bits of glass, nails and rubber straps sticking out of the ground. Upon returning to that spot I immediately had a hit in the silver range and now had to figure out pin pointing. It took me a few minutes to recover the coin. It was only 2" deep. (I have seen one of these listed for $60 at one online coin store.)

The second coin found on that site a day later was a Canadian 1859 large penny, a coin with a lot of history from which I derive my board name.

1859

ok, id never seen one of those, very cool !

British 'Jubilee' Head Threepence, shame it was 1893 as it would be 10 times more valuable :icon_thumright:

I recently found that same type of casing, looks like a "pin",firing pin mark, somebody i.d.ed it on another site and I need to find it

I don't really know, but I was hoping someone here could tell me more about it.........NGE
