A little video from yesterdays cornfield hunt and todays hunt combined

Was totally bored out of my skull today, the wife had zero on the honey-do list so I hit the old grove again with Will's permission of course (thanks again Will) this spot is insane, its been pounded for a few years by many and still is coughing up the goods! Started slow, with the usual pulltabs and junk then got a nice high tone and popped a 2 wheat spill, I thought ok, lets slow it down a bit more, kept gridding along and my etrac was screaming nickel signal as if it was on the surface or huge and low and behold it was on the surface, a toasted buffalo nickel!, gridded along and got a few clad and 3 more wheats, then got a real iffy/choppy dime signal with some low tones mixed in with it, popped about a 6" plug and got a nice blackened 1928 merc!:headbang: that made my day, I was very happy to squeeze another silver from this spot, and owe Will bigtime!, cant wait to get the guy on some killer old farm sites to get that first LC!

Yeah, it's always nice to be a first on a "honey hole". But, there are few left and they are getting fewer by the day. BUT, there are many, many spots that have been skimmed over or hunted and left. When you hunt these places you learn so much more about your machine! So that, when you do happen upon your own "honey hole", you will do a LOT better with your experience.

Great vid and saves!

Thanks gary, honestly sometimes I find it more enjoyable to pull goods from "pounded" places, makes the challenge more fun. But it's cool to sometimes just stumble upon a spot and have them literally be everywhere, That too is fun, I dunno, it's ALL fun!!!

Nice job, love those mercs. I haven't even found one Buffalo yet and I pretty much dig everything. Oh well, it will come if it is meant to.

Oh I agree! I was just saying that after you've honed your skills on tough places, you'll do even greater than normal on a honey hole!

Hey CJ? Would it help at all if I told him how many I've found? ;)

Nice! You've got skills! Great silver and wheat finds and a buffalo nickel ! Congrats!

Will is in for a thrill when he sees that large round green disk in the ground!

I knew what mine was the minute I saw it! A real thrill!

""thanks will!, yeah picture all the drunk people wandering that grove many years ago dropping/losing stuff, im surprised no necklaces have come from there.........yet!""

As soon as you guys finish getting those nickels out of the way, I will find them![emoji3][emoji111]🏼[emoji183]

This place sounds like e real honey hole, hope there's still more silver hiding there and even some gold.
