Still very dry here and water levels very low. Detected under both the 1st and second dams (pics included) here in town on the Rancocas Creek. They split the creek around a small island and are only several hundred yards apart. Again a mill and forge were in operation back in colonial days. No more sad/flat irons but did manage to find an old iron encrusted oxen shoe, several other iron encrusted items?, 2 more iron pieces from the old covered bridge/dam, a 1940s Ford Truck dog dish hubcap, an old fishing lure (one of many), an old pocket knife-the wood long rotted away, and many pieces of iron ore. You are certainly cleaning up that area beneath the Dam, I'm hoping you find some old coins out there.

Raining today-up goes the water level. After big storms over the years the water level periodically goes even with the top of the dams. A canoe house, playground, walking trail, are all nearby. Great fishing spots too (found a few crawfish while detecting). That is 2 pics of both sides of 1 oxen shoe. Going to be tough to find coins as the iron ore there is abundant. Will keep at it though. Thanks for the nice comments! HH

Congratulations on your finds. Looks like your local history goes back to the start of our nation. Great opportunities for doorknocking.

The high fast moving water may move some of the bottom muck for ya, so next low water level may have a bunch of goodies.
